Fixed Dental Prosthesis
A bridge also called a “fixed bridge” or a “fixed dental prosthesis,” is a dental restoration that replaces one or more missing teeth.
A bridge may be recommended if you're missing one or more teeth. Gaps left by missing teeth eventually cause the remaining teeth to rotate or shift into the empty spaces, resulting in a bad bite. The bridge consists of two crowns on the anchoring teeth or by dental implants along with the false tooth in the center. A bridge is permanent and cannot be removed. Although bridges can be made from a variety of materials such as gold, typically they’re made from porcelain or zirconium to aesthetically blend in with your natural teeth.
